While I write this blog, I am quite nostalgic about my childhood and its relations towards the celebration of Diwali. When I look back, I can clearly visualize the days of Diwali celebrations being done at my native place (Kadaya Gir) which is around 400 km away from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
In our family, we are 6 brothers (my 2 immediate brothers while 3 other cousins). My father will bring the crackers for all of them together- the beauty is- all 6 boys will be shared the same items of fire crackers; irrespective of their age. So it will be fun to have smaller crackers while the conduct the exchange of crackers with elder brothers was a fun event too. This will be followed by the lots of sweets prepared in the home. I can not forget the freshness of sweets made by my grandmother. With all these events, every year, it encourages to look forward for Diwali celebrations at Native place.
Now the life has changed as it progresses. Dynamics have changed. If I recollect, when you are young, you aspire to become indepedent as soon as possible. Contrarary, now I am independent however I aspire to look forward for the same quantum of fun and celebrations that I used in my childhood. Some time again, I commit to myself that next year, I look forward for this festival and aim to be at my old place where I connected with enormous memories in my mind.
